What is ephemeral content?
Ephemeral content is rich media that is only reachable temporarily (usually 24 hours) before it disappears forever. It could take many forms, including photos, live-stream videos, narrative tales, product demos, and more. Ephemeral content could presently be published on three primary platforms: Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook.
Where to utilize ephemeral content to the social media
Facebook Stories
Facebook Page Stories appear automatically at the top of users’ News Feeds, or users do tap the profile picture to view the story.
Page Stories could be added two differ pathways:
Take a video or photo in the moment with the Facebook camera, or upload one from the camera roll and add some creative effect to personalized the Story.

Why must brands consider ephemeral content in the ad campaigns?
Fear of missing out (FOMO)
One of the most obvious benefits of the ephemeral content strategy is that it brings out an instant response from viewers — a fast decision to download, sign up, and purchase, etc. Ephemeral content as the short-lived nature develops urgency, fueled by the fear of missing out, a powerful motivator of people behavior.
Higher engagement
Ephemeral content often permits the user to engage with the brand on a more private level than other formats of advertising. Few of the best engagement-boost tactics with ephemeral advertising are there.
It doesn’t have to be ideal
While traditional ads are looking out to be professionally shot and ideal in each pathway, ephemeral ads don’t have this similar expectation. An ephemeral content as the quality video is subordinate to the content itself. For example, a smartphone-shot video of the colleagues having fun at the organization picnic is the ideal chunk of ephemeral content.
